x. Cena I-RAS
Salve,
come da tradizione ogni anno viene organizzata una cena a cui tutti i membri I-RAS sono invitati.
In occasione della cena viene fatto un breve resoconto delle attività svolte ed è una buona occasione per raccogliere opinioni e proposte dai membri. Negli anni passati la cena è stata organizzata in occasione della riunione nazionale del gruppo di automatica. Il prossimo anno la riunione sara' a Roma, dal 5 al 7 settembre. Fatemi sapere se ci sono proposte alternative.

x. ISME Meeting and Workshop
The 2015 edition of the annual ISME meeting will take place on January 11, 12 and 13, 2016 in Lecce, Italy.
A scientific workshop will be held on January 11. The Meeting will be hosted at the Università del Salento.

x. European Master on Advanced Robotics Plus
Dear All,
the European Master on Advanced Robotics Plus (EMARO+) is an integrated MSc program carried out by four European institutions:
- Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France, coordinator),
- Warsaw University of Technology (Poland),
- University of Genoa (Italy),
- Jaume I University (Castellon, Spain).
EMARO+ involves also seven associated partners:
- Keio University (Tokyo, Japan),
- Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China),
- IRT Jules Verne (France),
- Airbus Group Innovations (France),
- BA Systemes (France),
- Robotnik (Spain),
- SIIT (Italy).
EMARO+ awards a double MSc degree. Students spend the first year with one partner institution (attending lectures and helping in research activities) and the second year with another partner institution (attending lectures in the first semester and carrying out a thesis work in the second semester).

In 2014, EMARO+ has been successfully selected for funding as part of the ERASMUS+ framework, the flagship European educational platform, and builds upon EMARO, a previously funded Erasmus Mundus project.
ERASMUS+ is a cooperation and mobility program in the field of higher education promoting the European Union as a centre of excellence for learning around the World. It aims at enhancing quality in European higher education and to promoting inter-cultural understanding through co-operation with third-countries.

The IEEE RAS Summer School on Multi-Robot Systems (MRSSS 2016) is a new summer school to be held at National University of Singapore over five days in tropical Singapore, from 6-10 June 2016. MRSSS 2016 is jointly organized by the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) from the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR) of Singapore, the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and the IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Multi-Robot Systems, and supported and funded by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS).
Multi-robot systems research is an area of increasing interest within IEEE RAS and has the potential to bring about profound economic and social benefits. The Summer School aims to promote multi-robot systems research that will enable the students, academic researchers, and industrial practitioners to realize its growing need in our society to improve our quality of life and the exciting possibilities surrounding its use in real-world application domains, as well as raise their awareness to the challenges and issues faced by the multi-robot systems community in putting theory into practice and scaling up single-robot algorithms to that for multiple robots.
THEMES
The main technical objective of the School is to cover the motivation driving research in multi-robot systems, existing projects and results, and open research problems in key areas of multi-robot systems. Underlying research topics include (1) sensing/perception and estimation, (2) task allocation and role assignment, (3) control, (4) planning and decision making, and (5) real-world applications. Please check the website for updates on the detailed technical program.

x. Call for papers for MESAS16 workshop
I would like to invite you to participate the Modelling and Simulation for Autonomous systems (MESAS16) workshop to be held in Rome next 15-16 June (http://www.mesas.mscoe.org).
NATO Modelling & Simulation Centre of Excellence requests all interested researchers and technicians of academic, industrial or military research centers to send an abstract to be evaluated by members of MESAS'16 Technical Program Committee.
Authors of approved abstracts will be asked to prepare a full paper following the Springer template, then to present the paper during the MESAS'16 Workshop.
Presentations will be ran in plenary and parallel sessions. Full papers selected by the Scientific Committee will be Included in the post conference proceedings indexed in the ISI Conference Proceedings Citation Indes – Science (CPCI-S) and EI Engineering Index (Compendex and Inspec databases)

x. Post-doctoral position in cooperative navigation and control of teams of autonomous underwater vehicles
The Robotics Research group (webuser.unicas.it/lai/robotica) of the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (Cassino, Italy) is seeking applicants for 1 post-doc position in the field of
"Cooperative navigation and control of teams of autonomous underwater vehicles"
The research activity will be performed in the framework of the H2020 European research project WiMUST.
The project is aimed at developing advanced cooperative and networked control/navigation systems to enable a large number of marine robots (both on the surface and submerged) to interact by sharing information as a coordinated team. The WiMUST system may be envisioned as an adaptive variable geometry acoustic array with the aim of expanding and improving the functionalities of current cooperative marine robotic systems for geophysical and geotechnical surveying.

Profile of the ideal candidate Technical skills/background:
- PhD Degree in the fields related to Robotics, Automatic control, Computer science;
- Research experience in the field of robotics and control engineering; preferably in the underwater robotics, localization and coordinated control of multi-robot systems;
- programming skills: C/C ++ and Matlab environment. Personal skill:
- Capability to work both in team and in autonomy;
- Working with deadlines;
- Writing technical papers and reports;
- Availability to travel;
- Good knowledge of English language
